Congratulations to The Space Page team from Timber Ridge Middle School who bested The Book Benders: The Final Chapter from Ira Jones Middle School to take home the District 202 Battle of the Books 2025 title! All seven middle school teams did awesome! #202proud

Congratulations! The 2025 John F. Kennedy Middle School Spelling Bee winner is eighth grader Khaliyah Olans. Olans won in the 20th round by spelling the word onyx correctly. Olans will compete in the Will County Regional Spelling Bee in March at Lincoln-Way West High School.

Nineteen John F. Kennedy Middle School students spent quality time with Eichelberger Elementary School students this week. As part of a new initiative, the middle schoolers spent their lunch period eating with kindergarten and first grade students. They also helped at recess and played games. The day was so successful, the peer buddies program will become a weekly occurrence between the two schools.
