Hello Freedom Families,
Summer break is in full swing, but the new school year will be here before we know it! Blue Moose Sports Camp is a great way to help get your students back on schedule and ready to return to the classroom in August!
Plainfield Blue Moose Sports Camp is led by local, certified elementary PE and classroom teachers from Plainfield District 202, including Freedom's very own Mr. H., Mrs. Ziemnik, Miss O'Brien, and Miss Kramer!
The goal of Blue Moose is to "Build a Stronger Community Through Sports" and for children to develop a love for fitness and their overall health. We want students to put down their devices and to experience the joy of "Play".
Blue Moose provides a safe, fun, and positive atmosphere for kids to participate in some of their favorite PE and camp games. If your students love PE, they will love this camp!
During our first three weeks in June, Plainfield Blue Moose hosted over 500 students from our community and we have one more week left! The camp is open to any student who is entering 1st- 6th grade and will take place July 29- August 1 at Walker's Grove Elementary in Plainfield. The student does not need to attend a PSD202 school to participate in the camp.
Please check out the attached flyer or visit our website for more information!

We are mourning the loss of Tom Hernandez longtime Director of Community Relations who passed away April 15, 2024.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Glenn Wood said Hernandez was a thoughtful, caring person representing District 202 proudly and professionally.
“Tom Hernandez was a true champion for District 202 and was well known for his professionalism, positive attitude, and big heart. He was known as “The Voice” of 202 because he made the school cancellation phone calls and often served as emcee for district and other events. Hernandez’s legacy is one of compassion and community. He will be deeply missed.”
